2nd week of Paeds DONE. Sorry to disappoint you WL, I'm actually enjoying it VERY VERY MUCH! Haha. Started off with neonatology which I think is interesting albeit SUPER DIFFICULT. One simple symptom can mean a hundred million differentials. Or the fact that reference ranges for everything is different for EVERY HOUR of neonatal life. Or how my brain gets fried after a few hours of listening to babies cry (seriously all you need is one neonate crying and suddenly the entire ward starts up).

But I love examining all the babies and finally being able to do the Moro reflex (dunno why I have this obsession with the Moro reflex) hehe. And thank God i've done O&G before Paeds. Makes everything easier.

Can't wait for next week! Paeds cardiology. FINALLY. Tetralogy of Fallot. YAY. Interacting with children older than 28 days. WHEE.

Oh and Happy Ramadhan to all Muslims!

8 weeks of Public Health has made me forgotten how to clerk a patient properly. And here we are expected to plunge right into things and come out alive. Wish me luck.

So my holiday has finally ended. Still wondering how 1 week can go by so quickly..sigh.

Excited but a bit scared to start Obs/Gyn. 8 weeks of not using your brain definitely has its setbacks. Here's hoping for the best.

But on a more cheerful note, I get to see those bubble tea addicts again!

4 more days to the end of Public Health!

The only thing I'm grateful for is the chance to get to know my groupmates better. At least this part of Prof's initial promise to us was true. Thank you to each and everyone of you for keeping me sane during this hell-ish 8 weeks! Love you guys.

On a more cheerful note, O&G is next. Clinical medicine again..finally!

and WORLD CUP! Looking forward to sleepless nights again.

But first things first....can't wait for this 1 week of well-deserved break. Whee.

Brain Dead

...that's what I feel after just 1 day of Public Health. Who knew statistics would come back and bite me where it hurts the most. ARGH!


Thank God for the visiting lecturer from AIMST university for making the lectures at least funny. I just hope I can survive the next 2 weeks of pure lectures+tutorials. I think after Psychiatry I've developed adult-onset ADHD. I need Ritalin.

...and I still can't believe I have another 7++ weeks of this. Crap.
