  • Eid weekend was short but FUN. The worst part of going back to KL is the drive back to Penang. Discovered a talent for daydreaming while driving and shutting out long and boring highways (which, at 150km/h, is probably not a good thing)
  • Got stopped by the traffic police for beating a red light. Got off with just a "Lain kali jangan buat lagi ya". God bless Malaysia.
  • Nasi kerabu is the best part of being part-Kelantanese (*snorts)
  • Still in Radiology. Just 4 more days, please let me survive.
  • Exams next week and I'm still not done with my bloody Portfolio. CURSES.
  • World Cup Final draw this Friday. Excited!
and finally,
  • Though I've read the books (sort of), I still cannot understand all this Twilight hype that's been going around. Edward..yawwn. I must be getting older.

I found a cockroach in my freshly cleaned, pristine kitchen last night (not the first one, mind you), and I just lost it. GAH! That's it, I'm moving. As soon as my damned landlord gives the greenlight.



For the record, my house is way, way cleaner than THAT. Please.

How many languages can you say DIE in?

p/s: Currently in Ophthal rotation and I am hating every minute of it. OMG please let the next 7 days just fly by.

A&E

Emergency Medicine came and went. I hate to admit it, but I am going to miss it a LOT. I'm not sure how ethical it is for me to barge into the next group's allocated week but..we'll see how it goes. Hehe


No, it has nothing to do with a certain "quadrilingual" Dr. <3<3>

Stats: (mostly done in the span of 4 days as the first 3 days I was pretty much lost hehe, yeah I'm a slow starter)
  • 7 IV cannulas. 2 failed. All of them winced in pain. Not a good sign.
  • 3 venepunctures (excluding those taken via the cannulas)
  • Sutured 2 patients
  • 6 IM injections including my first gluteal injection on a very very shy young lady.
  • Many many ECGs. I seem to have forgotten how to interpret an ECG. Shit.
  • Played suturing assistant to the very intimidating Vascular surgeon trainee.
Still not done:
  • Subcutaenous injections
  • CBD (missed 2 golden opportunities. I'm just not ready yet. SIGH)
  • DRE
All in all, I'd say it was a fruitful week. Dr P I am going to miss you soooooo!
